Girls Camp

Kolby was unable to attend girls camp this year. So Sarah Nash, a young woman from our yard, made this Cardboard cut out of Kolby to take up to girls camp. Attached to the Kolby's cutout was a bag with paper and pencils in it for the girls to write Kolby a letter. We have heard a few funny stories about some of the leaders and girls walking around the corner and thinking it really was Kolby. Kolby thought this was such a cool idea and it really meant a lot to her. Sarah....thank you so much for thinking of Kolby and including her in girls camp even though she couldn't be there. We can't wait to get the letters. Everyone has been so thoughtful and as her parents we thank you for thinking of Kolby and for all the wonderful things you have done for her in her absence.
Her are some of Kolby's friends and leaders wearing Kolby's t-shirt and including "Kolby" in their picture up at camp Kolab. Kolby sure is lucky to have such wonderful friends....Thank you Sarah, Barb, Tiffany, Sarah, and Erin.

    We're home from camp and showered and semi-recovered and you've already got pictures posted on here that we took with our Kolbs :) (btw, the other gal is my sister, Erin Mohler [Becca's aunt and avid Keeping Kolby fan!]) I just want to share with you that there were many a prayer and thoughts shared for Kolby. The young women are inspired by you, Kolby, and by the entire Crampton family. It was our pleasure to have a bit of you up there, Kolby! Love you...

    I'm glad that you liked it! I was hoping it would turn out well :) I'm glad that Kolby could "be" there in some way and I know that even if this wasn't made, Kolby, you still would have been thought of a whooooole bunch all week long :) Yeppers, it sure scared some girls :) heehee...     It was fun having Kolby at camp! Danni and Drew were especially concerned that you were treated well while at camp. We have some cute pictures of the girls with Kolby. I'll have to get them to you :)

    Glad you are feeling better and are on the other end of the latest chemo treatment. Shopping should be a treat!

    That is so sweet!!! How wonderful it will be for you to read those letters. I am sure they are full of love and inspiration just like you. Reading this made my day. So happy to see the outpouring of love from your friends. :)

I just caught Kolby updating her sticker chart. I cannot believe that it is almost filled in. She is so excited, and she is in such a good mood. Her spirits are high and she is feeling fantastic. She only has two more chemo treatments left, and seven more weeks of weekly doctor appointments. Kolby hasn't been missing as much school, and life for her seems to be slowly but surely going back to normal. There are even days that we do not talk about "cancer"! She is busy right now coaching Powderpuff Cheer. She has been a busy busy girl. I just love seeing Kolby so active and wanting to do more and more. Woo-Hoo!

Father's Day

Today was a great day for our family. Kolby went to church. It was a challenge , but it was really important for Kolby to go to church today with her dad. She got up, got ready and she looked beautiful. I really wish I would have taken pictures of the girls with their dad, but we were in such a hurry to get off to church that I forgot. Next time I will for sure. She was pretty emotional at church. It was a lot for her to get ready and go to church for the first time in a while. She wanted to arrive a few minutes late, and leave a few minutes early. It is really hard for Kolby to see people, only because of all the different emotions she is feeling right now. She gets very emotional when people hug her and express their love and support. She loves it, but right now, she cries every time she has a new visitor or sees people. So, please do not get offended if Kolby is quiet when you see her or visit with her. It's just how she is right now, and that's ok . Everyone deals wit...

A little note from me, Kolby.

I want thank Kristi and Kylie for designing these T-Shirts. At first I didn't want my name on the shirt. I really do not like having the attention on me. But, after I saw them I really liked them. Thank you Kristi and Kylie. Also, thank you so much Vicki and Dale for making the t-shirts, you did a great job. I just love them. Thank you!!! This has been really hard on me. I wish I felt better and I want my healthy body back. I miss hanging out with my friends and doing the things I like. I also do not like it when I feel sick. The blisters in my throat and mouth are gone right now, but when I take chemo again I know they will come back. It has been nice feeling good these last few days. I haven't had to have chemo this week because of the scans. It is such a good feeling to feel good again. I never really appreciated my healthy body till now. The chemo makes me feel horrible.
