Keeping Kolby

My poor Kolby doesn't have the energy to do anything. The last few days she has barely left the family room. Her weak body just wants to sleep. She wants to get up and shower but between the nausea and no energy, the couch wins! Tonight Blake and Lori Burr had a BBQ. We were planning on going all day, but after about the 10th time of her telling me that she was going to get up, I gave in and let her sleep. She asks me, "Mom, when am I going to feel better again"? Honestly, I do not know what to tell her. I watch her sleep. I look at my beautiful daughter and I wonder...and I think she should be out with her friends, swimming, going to the movies,and shopping. But no....instead she sleeps. I want Kolby to know that I am very proud of you. You are my hero. You have always been such an example to me. You are so strong even when you cry. From Dana (Facebook post) Here's a little update on Kolby. She doesn't have a very big appetite and she is having a hard time keeping her food down...but she is a trooper. I am still praying for smooth sailing throughout the year with the chemo treatments. Us Cramptons are staying strong and positive and we know that we are all in the Lord's c...are. I so appreciate all your comments. They cheer me up. Thank you!

From Dana (Facebook post) Kolby is home!!!! After her first treatment of chemo she started feeling better. Her fever broke and her back pain is managable. She has a long journey of recovery and treatment ahead of her. But we know she will make it. Thank you all for your prayers and kind words. Our family couldn't have made it without all your support. We are very blessed.

Our dear friends "Ronda and Holly". They drove 16 hours to spend time with our family and see Kolby in the hospital. Sis. With such deepened and saddened hearts we just learned that Kolby has Non Hodgkins ALCL - Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. I am still in a state of shock.
