Kolby had another doctor's appointment on Wednesday. Her numbers were a little low but she was still able to receive her chemo treatment. Kolby is doing pretty good. It's always difficult for her to take all the pills for 5 days following the chemo treatment, but she is a trooper. I used to have to make Kolby take her pills, but now she gets up and takes them herself. She takes over 30 pills in one day. It sure is nice that Kolby does this all by her self. I admit, it takes away the stress. She is pretty tired today and she doesn't have much energy. So she is snuggled up on the couch, wrapped in her robe and watching tv today.
I just caught Kolby updating her sticker chart. I cannot believe that it is almost filled in. She is so excited, and she is in such a good mood. Her spirits are high and she is feeling fantastic. She only has two more chemo treatments left, and seven more weeks of weekly doctor appointments. Kolby hasn't been missing as much school, and life for her seems to be slowly but surely going back to normal. There are even days that we do not talk about "cancer"! She is busy right now coaching Powderpuff Cheer. She has been a busy busy girl. I just love seeing Kolby so active and wanting to do more and more. Woo-Hoo!
Taking 30 pills a day sounds perfectly awful. Rest up little Kolby! We love you!
