A little "Hi" from Kylie

So, I went over to my parents today to visit Kolby and my mom. I got there and Kolby was still asleep! That crazy girl can sleep till 12 in the afternoon! I used to be able to do that in high school and during the summer, but being pregnant it's a lot harder! I love sitting there with Kolby, even when she does sleep all day long. I didn't get to see her yesterday, and I hate the days I don't see her. So I made sure to come by today and hang out with her for awhile. I was talking to her about her "wish" since she gets to make a wish with Make A Wish Foundation. I asked if she made a decision. She told me no, she hasn't. I asked her why not?! She said she wants to do something that the whole family can be included in. There Kolby goes, trying to think of everyone else instead of this one wish for herself! I told her we can always do things as a family. That she needed to think of this wish for HERSELF! I love her so much. I sat with her and told her to lay down and I tickled her back for about 20 minutes. It's amazing how when you get your back tickled everything on your mind goes away. I wish i could take everything away from her and have her enjoy her summer and hang out with her friends. Hopefully she will start having more energy so she could come hang out with us all. Today mom and I got in the pool and Kolby said she'd come lay in the raft but she was really tired.. I got pretty sun burnt. Maybe next time I'll put sun screen on. Kolby and I said we will compete this year to see who can get a tan the quickest or the most tannest! Kolby will probably win because she tans so easily! I just want kolby to know how much I love her and that I'm always thinking of her! I love you Kolby! I'll see you tomorrow!!

  1. Kylie, you are a wonderful sister. I am so thankful for you and Kristi and for the service you so lovingly give Kolby. I do not ever have to ask you to do anything, you just know what to do. I love you very much. Thank you for being such an amazing sister to Kolby, especially during this difficult time in her life.

Father's Day

Today was a great day for our family. Kolby went to church. It was a challenge , but it was really important for Kolby to go to church today with her dad. She got up, got ready and she looked beautiful. I really wish I would have taken pictures of the girls with their dad, but we were in such a hurry to get off to church that I forgot. Next time I will for sure. She was pretty emotional at church. It was a lot for her to get ready and go to church for the first time in a while. She wanted to arrive a few minutes late, and leave a few minutes early. It is really hard for Kolby to see people, only because of all the different emotions she is feeling right now. She gets very emotional when people hug her and express their love and support. She loves it, but right now, she cries every time she has a new visitor or sees people. So, please do not get offended if Kolby is quiet when you see her or visit with her. It's just how she is right now, and that's ok . Everyone deals wit...

A Very Generous Gift!

Brinley Truman, an eight year old girl in our ward and a dear friend of our family over heard her parents discussing Kolby and their desire to make a donation to "Keeping Kolby." Brinley asked her parents, Tom and Taralee, what they were talking about and Taralee explained to Brinley that they were going to donate money to the Cramptons because they wanted to show them that they love them and also because all the medicines and procedures that Kolby has to have cost a lot of money. Brinley told her parents that she wanted to give her money too. She went into their kitchen, climbed on the counter and got her money off the top of the fridge. When she got down she handed her mom 5 one dollar bills, 4 nickles, and 7 pennies. Her mom told her that she didn't have to give her money and that they would donate money as a family and Brinley said, "No, I want to use this!" Taralee told her that she should keep her money since she doesn't get money very often and they d...

Met A New Friend!

Kolby went to her weekly doctor's appointment today and as soon as we got there Dr. Kline came right out in the waiting room and told Kolby that there was a 15 year old girl who was just diagnosed with cancer and she was having a really really hard time. He asked Kolby if she would go back and talk to her. Kolby met McKenzie. She is such a darling girl. McKenzie was just diagnosed with brain cancer two weeks ago. She was very quiet and we could tell that she was scared and uncomfortable. She is just beginning to lose her hair and Kolby chatted with her about her experience. Kolby told her about the Wig Cottage and a few web sites with hat hair. McKenzie seemed a little uplifted. Kolby also told her all about her experiences the first few cycles and how much better it does get. Kolby also learned that McKenzie has to have chemo and radiation everyday for 30 days and it really made Kolby appreciate her 21 day cycle. The two were able to get strength from one another. I was really pro...
